Ophelia & Indigo was created in the midst of the pandemic by friends Claire and Lucy, who both relocated to New York with their families from London due to work. During long walks and chats throughout lockdown, a vision for what a fashion brand might look like emerged based on their similar aesthetic, passion and a desire to create something with purpose.
The starting point was to design the perfect throw on dresses for the heat of the New York summers, made from carefully selected, ethically sourced Indian printed cotton at an affordable price point. Designs are inspired from vintage pieces sourced on past travels, but with a modern twist. The range features billowing cotton dresses, and unique printed blouses with the most delicate details and trims.
Social responsibility is embedded in the DNA of Ophelia & Indigo’s ethos and the importance of giving back is paramount. The brand uses surplus fabric to make pyjamas for the www.pajamaprogram.org.
Helping millions of children facing adversity in the United States and Puerto Rico by providing new pyjamas, storybooks and sleep health education resources for caregivers.
