From beachside brunches and sunset dinners, here’s our essential guide to eating in the Hamptons right now.
Enjoy an East Hampton brunch at Carissa’s Bakery, where namesake
Carissa Waechter and her business partner, Lori Chemla, transformed a simple bread baking business into a locally minded kitchen and community hub. With options to eat in or take-out, dishes are based on the principles of wholesome, seasonal ingredients, complimented by fresh, organic juices and coffee. In the restaurant’s garden, enjoy the vegetarian Reuben, made with roasted beets and kimchi slaw, but don’t leave without a chocolate croissant—or a pint of Oishii Omakase strawberry gelato!
Carissa has expanded to a second location in Sag Harbor, the go to for take-away sandwiches, pastries as well as a full coffee bar.

For dinner, head to il Buco al Mare, Inspired by their sister restaurant, Bottega il Buco, in Ibiza, il Buco al Mare offers cuisine in a warm, casual setting in the heart of Amagansett. With a simple, relaxed menu, the dishes created by Chef Justin Smillie, feature the best local seafood & produce cooked with flare in the space’s wood-burning oven. The restaurant’s backyard hosts a beautiful outdoor garden where guests can enjoy dining al fresco with some of their top dishes including charred striped bass, smoked caraflex cabbage or try the black garlic skirt steak with Montreal spice.
To compliment, the curated wine list highlights small, multi-generational producers focusing on coastal regions and wines touched by the sea to capture the feeling of 'al mare’.

Duryea’s Lobster Deck in Montauk is one of the most
picturesque settings to dine in the Hamptons while you feast on freshly caught seafood. Part fish market, part rustic restaurant. The secret here is the freshest ingredients, delivered each day, and prepared a-la-minute.
The restaurant doesn’t take reservations, but has a very
organised waiting system. If you need to wait for a table, you can cosy up at the indoor bar, before being seated in the main deck with vast views out to sea. A signature dish worth the Hamptons price tag is the lobster cobb salad, it brings your taste buds to life!
